With thanks to Bruce for the request/suggestion, I’m pleased to share here a proposed calendar of community gatherings for 2024 (this will hopefully allow folks to plan ahead for attendance :-)

These are intended for those of you have chosen to participate in the gift economy with me via a “paid” subscription: I shared more about my feelings around this in this post on an invitation to interdependence. It means a lot to me that strangers on the internet find value in my work and choose to express their gratitude with the gift of money; it also helps support my livelihood and make this newsletter possible.

I deeply enjoy sharing space with you and getting to know you in these monthly gatherings, and find it personally inspiring and nourishing to connect with folks out there on the other side of cyberspace :-) I hope to see more of you there!

If you would like to attend a community gathering but can’t at present afford to offer money for a subscription, please let me know and I’m happy to comp you; no one will be turned away.

These 60-minute gatherings are informal and lightly hosted small groups: we typically start with a check-in round, a grounding, and then a round to hear what is alive for people that they may wish to discuss as a group… then we dive in to a topic or two! (Sometimes related to/inspired by a recent newsletter post… sometimes not).

I’m experimenting with different days/times so hopefully people can make at least one, and of course may need to shift times… but will try to give as much notice as possible! (Unfortunately, weekends are difficult on my end with lots of travel and young children).
